- What's new in the Talking Checkbook - Version 6.0?
-
- Say, you'll love the new macro feature that makes life easy
- when entering checks or searching for them. Imagine typing in
- just a few letters instead of the whole name and having the
- program enter the full data for you! Read Macros.doc for the full
- information on this feature.
-
- Autopay is auto great in this version of the Talking
- Checkbook. Don Barrett has outdone himself with all the
- programming he did. Congrats Don and folks will love the fast
- arrays you put in the program.
-
- Don also added a blast out of the program feature that gets
- you back to DOS pronto by pressing the F10 key. Not only does it
- get you out to DOS from anywhere you are, but it also saves the
- databases securely before leaving. This does not do the
- autobackup that is always recommended, but is great if you need
- to leave quickly and don't have time to spare.
-
- If you've been bored to tears when printing checks because
- of having to answer N or Y to another printing, well your days
- will be happy from now on! Don has added a C to continue feature
- that will make life a dream.
-
- Finally, we've improved a few screen and placed the opening
- memory checker into a delay rather than having to press a key to
- continue. This saves a keystroke and the annoyance of not going
- directly to the first balance question.
-
- Enjoy and we hope to someday get to multiple accounts, but
- that's a major writing that may never happen. Also please note
- that some folks have asked about letter quality printing of the
- checks and we suggest that you use the letter quality setting on
- your printer for that. A laser Jet version of the Talking
- Checkbook is currently under beta testing and Don will have that
- out when he feels comfortable with it's performance.
